DORIANA E MASSIMILIANO FUKSAS
Doriana Mandrelli Fuksas graduated in 1979 in History of Modern and Contemporary Architecture at La Sapienza University in Rome, where she was born. She also earned a further degree at ESA (École Spéciale d'Architecture) in Paris. Massimiliano Fuksas, whose family is of Lithuanian origins, was born in Rome in 1944 where he obtained the title of Architect at the University La Sapienza. He has collected many different assignments, collaborations and recognitions throughout his career. Doriana and Massimiliano began their collaboration In 1985 and founded the studio that has carried out countless projects around the world such as airports, cultural centers and buildings for commercial activities. Doriana took over the management of Fuksas Design in 1997. In the design sector the two architects collaborated for example with: iGuzzini, Zeus, Poltrona Frau, Luxy, Short Stories, Haworth Castelli, Manital. They also designed several products for FIAM such as the curved glass mirrors Lucy, Rosy and Mary, and the glass table Roy; for Alessi the cutlery series Colombina Fish and the vase E-li-li, for Baxter the armchairs Dolly and Molly, for La Murrina the lamp Moony Chandelier.
